Keynote 1: Remzi Arpaci-Dusseau: Measure, Then Build: A Story of Systems Research.

Remzi Arpaci-Dusseau is professor in the department of Computer Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he also serves currently as the Associate Chair. He has published in excess of 100 papers. His more than 20 Ph.D. students serve in leading companies, organizations, and universities.

Kenynote 2: James Hughes: "Trends in Storage and Opportunities for Research"

James Hughes is currently a Distributed Systems Architect at Apple and has a distinguished career in industry. Most recently he was a Managing Principal Technologist at Seagate Technology and before that, Vice President and Fellow (Cloud Storage) at Huawei, a Sun Fellow and Vice President at Sun Microsystems, a Senior Fellow and Vice President at Storage Technology Corporation, and a Fellow at Network Systems Corporation. In between, he was an Adjunct Professor at Indiana University and Peking University. In his spare time, he works on cryptography.
