Final exam week office hours: Mon 10-12,2-4, Tues 10-12.
Final exam study suggestions:
The final exam will not include questions about material in sections 7.3,7.6,8.1,8.5-8.7,10.5,11.9-11.11. There will not be any trig substitution problems on the final. Looking over past exams and suggest homework problems should give you a variety of questions to study. Also, here are additional questions from the chapter reviews:
Chapter 11 p.552 #2,4,11,19,30,31,35,38,39,41. Also the relevant Check Your Understanding questions on p.555.
Exam 3 covered chapters 9 and 10. Here are some suggested study problems. p.429-430 #1-4,6,-8,10,12,13,15,17,19,20,24. p.470-472 #1-4,6,7,9,12,15,16,19,23,36. The "Check Your Understanding" questions on p.431 and p.473 are also a good review.
Exam 2 covered material from sections 8.2 - 8.7 (except for Consumer and Producer Surplus from 8.5 and Normal Distributions in 8.7). Here are some suggested study problems. p.397-400 #3,5,7,10,15,17-19,21-23,27,28. The "Check Your Understanding" questions on p.401 are also a good review.
To review the material from Exam 1, you might study: 9.339 #3,5,13,14,17,19,28,32 51,52,63,99,112,117,125,129,130,134,137. Also the "Check Your Understanding" questions on p. 342.
So, for instance, if a student had exam grades of 72, 68, and 65, I would add up 72+3, 68+3, and 65+10 to get 221 and then divide by 300 to get (roughly) 74%. That is, a total exam grade so far of BC. Of course, the quiz grades and final exam will also be added in for the final course grade.
