An introduction to abstract algebra.

Course Syllabus

FINALS WEEK OFFICE HOURS
Mon, Tues, and Wed, 2-4PM, and by appointment.

FINAL EXAM
The final is Thurs, Dec 14, 10:30am-12:30PM. It will cover everything we've done all semester (with an emphasis on material since the second exam). In particular, that is:
Sections 2-6, Sections 8-11, Sections 13-14,
(and new since Exam 2) Sections 18-20, Sections 22-23, Sections 26-27.
The last topic of Section 20, "Applications to ax = b (mod m)", will not be on the exam.
Questions will be similar to those you've seen in homework. The exam is closed book, closed notes.

EXAM 2
The second exam was in class on Fri, Nov 3. It covered Sections 8-11 and 13-14 of the textbook. Questions are similar to those you've seen in homework or class examples. The exam is closed book, closed notes.
