Art Museums
Here are a number of exciting art museum exhibits on the
World Wide Web:
- The Haggerty Museum of Art
- Maybe not the biggest name museum on the Web, but certainly the closest (and we think the best). Visit our own Haggerty Art Museum
electronically.
- The Louvre Art Museum
- Read about Japanese Art, see the work of Cezanne,
or just wander through some of the paintings at the
most famous art museum in the world. While you're
there, take a stroll around Paris.
- The World's Women On-Line!
- This is not really a museum, because it only exists on
the Web, but it's a great collection of
traditional (non-electronic) artwork. This site was
developed to coincide with the UN Conference on Women in
Beijing, China in 1995. Don't miss this fabulous collection
of photos of work in many different media.
-
Sistine Chapel
- Pop over to Rome and check out the art of the Sistine Chapel.
This page begins with a lot of header info and various links, but
if you just keep scrolling down, you'll eventually reach the images.
-
The National Gallery of Art
- Visit the Smithonian's National Gallery on the Mall in
Washington, D.C.
