Interval FAQ
Site Search Engine

Purpose: Search for words on pages in this site. Returns a list of pages on which the searched word appears.

What word would you like to search for?
(For now, I can only search for a single word.)

This form and its supporting script is under development. It works now, and it may work better later. Essentially, it does fgrep "query" *.html in the current directory.

Searches may be logged by class, query, and date.

Reference: Shishir Gundavaram, CGI Programming on the World Wide Web, O'Reilly, 1996, Chapter 9. This page calls the CGI script gundSearch.cgi (Perl script).
