Homework Assignment #5

Due: Wednesday, February 26th, 11:00am CST
Submit: Turn your C source file using the turnin command on the Systems Lab machines.
Expect to present a demonstration of your system during lab time.
Work may be completed in teams of two.

Liquid Crystal Display

This week's assignment is not a specific task, but rather a requirement to demonstrate proficiency.

Using the mbed application board's 128x32 Graphics LCD, write a program that demonstrates both graphics and text on the display.

The content displayed must in some way interact with at least 3 of the following peripherals:

• Joystick
• Analog potentiometers
• Temperature sensor
• Accelerometer
• Host serial port (Use picocom /dev/ttyACM0 -b 9600 -l on the Linux host to connect to the mbed serial port.)
• I2C bus connection with one or more other mbeds

Use your creativity to devise something cool you would want to show to prospective students wondering whether this is the right field for them.
