Major Research Interests:   Pervasive/Ubiquitous/Mobile Computing, Pervasive Security, Trust and Privacy,   Autonomic Pervasive computing,  and Pervasive Healthcare

Other Research Interests: RFID security,  HCI issues of  Handheld devices (such as PDAs, Cell phones), Middleware for Sensor Networks, and Security support at the application layer for wireless network(802.11, Bluetooth, and Zigbee)

 

Honors/Awards

·         Way-Klinger Young Scholars Award 2007 (One-semester sabbatical award for junior faculty  in the three years after the third-year review.  Up to $32,000 is awarded for half of a faculty member’s salary including $2,000 in operating funds). Received the award from Fr. Robert Wild, S.J., President of Marquette University.  Here is the photo.

·         Best Paper Award in the 31st Annual International Computer Software and Applications Conference (COMPSAC 2007),  Beijing, China, July 23-27. [Beginning 2006, COMPSAC is designated as the IEEE Computer Society Signature Conference on Software Technology and Applications].
