This week we looked over MIME and how it is affected by TCP segmentation. We looked at some captures of MIME delivered over TCP which highlighted this concept.

We also learned about DNS, specifically how it works, resource records, and looked over some captures involving DNS.

What I Did

I began by looking over the references on the class website. I spent the majority of my time studying DNS. I looked over the RFCs that covered DNS. I also studied the captures posted on the website. I attempted to use the DNS program that was used in the examples, but I could not find where it was located. Instead, I made some DNS captures and did a few "dig"s and nslookup's.
